Kalua Pork
Ingredients:
- 7 lb bone in pork butt or shoulder
- 1 Tbsp liquid smoke
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
Directions:
- Place pork roast fat side up in your slow cooker.
- Rub all over with Liquid Smoke and salt.
- Cook on low for 9-10 hours.
- Shred meat in the slow cooker so the meat can sit in the juice until it is served.
- Serve hot.
This is an easy meat to make, it just needs time to cook. Throw it in in the morning and it'll be ready for dinner. Serve with Coconut Rice, Hawaiian slaw and Hawaiian rolls. You can make shave ice or Dole Whip for dessert! We bought a Little Snowie shave ice machine and it is seriously the best! The flavors you can purchase through Little Snowie are delicious and easy to store and make. And, the ice it makes is so fluffy and soft, it is just like shave ice in Hawaii. We have even make snowballs with it and had a snowball fight here in Arizona. I know, desperate times call for desperate measures! Ha, Ha!
